How Has The World Health Organization Responded To The Emergence Of Covid-19?

With the emergence and widespread pandemic of Covid-19 or the Corona Virus, the world expected a response from the World Health Organization. As a result, the World Health Organization responded to the pandemic and began providing information and helpful advice with the limited data they had. In addition, this somewhat helped the mass population of the Earth in preventing infection. Unfortunately, a majority of the information provided was either ignored or not taken seriously by the population across the globe. Furthermore, the World Health Organization began setting up temporary hospitals across the globe to collect blood samples to examine the make-up of the Corona Virus. As a result, the World Health Organization was able to gain a greater understanding about this virus and its capabilities. Moreover, after realizing how infectious this virus became and how quickly it expanded, the World Health Organization requested that everyone should wear masks. Unfortunately, with this influx of purchasing masks, there became a shortage in the available supply. As a direct result, many were left without proper masks to protect themselves against the virus.

What Measures Has the World Health Organization Taken Against Covid-19?

When the Covid-19 Pandemic began, The World Health Organization took various measures against the virus to help slow the spread. For instance, they advised people to maintain a social distance of 6 feet from another person to reduce the spread of this virus. As a result, the virus saw a small reduction in daily cases with people distancing themselves from each other to slow the spread of the virus. In addition, they also advised people to travel less and remain inside their homes instead of constantly travelling. Fortunately, this had a greater affect on the Covid-19 Pandemic's spread across the globe. For example, with the reduction in travelling, the Corona Virus had less hosts to infect and spread to. As a direct result, less people became infected by reducing their outings throughout the week. Unfortunately, this caused some social isolation across the globe and many schools either closed temporarily or became virtual learning. Moreover, with the data the WHO had been gathering, they started the development of a potential vaccine to combat the Corona Virus Pandemic.
